1. Agreement

These terms govern your use of this website and of software published by Arcane Void LLC (the "Software"). By using the Software you agree to them. If you do not, do not use it.

2. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Software on devices you control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not resell it, rent it, reverse engineer it except where law permits regardless of contract, or remove any notice from it.

3. Applications that report health-related figures

This section applies to any application of ours that reports a figure bearing on your health. It does not apply to our games or to applications that report nothing of the kind.

Such an application is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition. Nothing in it is a substitute for a qualified clinician, and you should not use it to make a decision you would otherwise take medical advice on.

Any figure the Software reports is a modelled estimate, derived from published equations applied to the conditions you enter. It is not a measurement taken from your body. Individual circumstances vary, and the model does not know about your medication, your medical history, or your day.

4. Your own judgement

You are responsible for decisions you make about your own body. Where the Software offers a figure bearing on your health, treat it as one input among others and not as an instruction. If you have a relevant medical condition, or take a medication that bears on it, speak to a clinician.

5. Accuracy

We compute from established models and we test that work against published references. The models are approximations, and some of their inputs we can only take from what you tell us. We do not warrant that any figure is correct for your circumstances.

6. Games and in-application items

Where the Software is a game, any in-application item, currency or unlock is a licence to use a feature of that game. It has no value outside the game, it is not property, and it cannot be exchanged for money or transferred between accounts, devices or people. Where a game shows a result produced by chance, the method is ours and the outcome is not a prediction of anything outside the game.

7. Purchases

Where the Software offers a paid subscription, it is sold and billed through the platform's store — Google Play or the App Store — under that store's terms. Trials, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled by the store, and you can manage or cancel a subscription in your store account. We do not process or store payment details.

8. Availability

The Software is provided as it is. We may change it, or stop publishing it, at any time. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of defects.

9. Disclaimer and liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, the Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Arcane Void LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Software. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ten United States dollars.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations. Where that is so, the above applies only as far as that jurisdiction permits, and nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

10. Intellectual property

The Software, this website, and their text, designs and marks are owned by Arcane Void LLC and protected by copyright and other law. These terms grant you a licence to use the Software and nothing more.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America and of the state in which Arcane Void LLC is organised, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of that state have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.

12. Changes

We may revise these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Continuing to use the Software after a revision means you accept it.
