Privacy Policy

The short version. The applications covered by this policy collect nothing about you. They have no account, no analytics, and no server of ours for data to be sent to. What you enter stays on your device and is deleted when you uninstall.
Some of our applications work differently, and each of those carries its own policy which governs it in place of this page. An application that shows advertising or sells anything says so in its own policy and in its store listing. Today that is the free edition of Backgammon, which shows advertising supplied by Google.
1. Who this covers
This policy applies to Arcane Void LLC ("we", "us"), to this website, and to every application we publish (the "Software") that does not carry a policy of its own.
These applications carry their own policy, which replaces this page for them:
- Backgammon and Backgammon Pro — the free edition shows advertising served by Google AdMob.
Every other application we publish, including My Sun Log, is covered by the page you are reading.
2. What the applications collect
Nothing. The applications covered by this policy have no account system, no analytics, and no advertising software. They transmit no information about you.
The following is stored on your device only, and is readable by nobody but you:
- The settings you choose, so the application behaves the way you asked it to.
- Where an application needs a location, one accurate to roughly a city, which you choose from a list carried inside the application. No location permission is requested and no positioning hardware is read. The place you pick is stored on your device, is used only for the calculation you opened the application to see, and is never transmitted.
- Records you create yourself, and what you entered alongside them.
- Your preferences, including whether notifications are enabled.
Notifications are scheduled on the device by the device. No notification is sent from anywhere else, and none is triggered by us.
3. Deleting your data
Uninstalling the application removes everything it stored. Individual sessions can be deleted inside the application at any time. We hold no copy, so there is nothing for you to ask us to erase and no request for us to process.
4. This website
This site is static. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no trackers or fonts from other services.
It is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub, as our hosting provider, processes visitor IP addresses to serve pages and to protect the service from abuse. That processing is governed by GitHub's privacy statement. We do not receive, request, or have access to those logs.
5. Email
If you write to hello@arcanevoid.com, your message and address reach us through a mail forwarding service provided by our domain registrar, Namecheap. We keep correspondence only as long as it takes to deal with what you wrote about, and we do not add you to any mailing list.
6. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, of any age, including children under 13. This is not a commitment we monitor for compliance; it is a consequence of collecting nothing at all.
7. Your rights
Where the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the CCPA or comparable law gives you a right to access, correct, port, or delete personal information a company holds about you, we satisfy it in the only way available to us: we hold none.
We do not sell or share personal information, and we have never done so. We do not profile anyone and we make no automated decisions about anyone. Where an application of ours shows advertising, its own policy names the advertising network and says what that network receives; we receive no personal information from it either.
8. If this changes
Some things we build require collecting or transmitting information. Advertising is one, and where we use it the application says so in its own policy rather than here.
If we add anything of that kind, we will update this policy and change its effective date before the change reaches you, and we will say plainly what is collected, by whom, and why. We will not quietly widen this page and rely on your having agreed to it in advance.
