Bridge Terms of Use
Effective 13 September 2026 · Arcane Void LLC
The short version. Bridge is a game played with a program on your device: it bids and plays the other three hands. There is no wagering, no currency to buy, and no way to spend money on a better hand. The program never looks at your cards: it plays from what a person at the table could see.
1. Agreement
These terms govern your use of Bridge and Bridge Pro (the "Software"), published by Arcane Void LLC ("we", "us"). Installing or using the Software means you accept them. If you do not, uninstall it.
The Bridge privacy policy describes what the Software stores and what the free edition's advertising sends.
2. The two editions
Bridge is free and shows advertising. Bridge Pro is bought once through Google Play, shows no advertising, and adds the higher opponents, the doubling cube, match play and post-game analysis.
They are separate applications with separate Play listings. Buying Pro does not remove the advertising from the free edition, and the two do not share their saved games or statistics.
3. Purchases and refunds
Bridge Pro is sold and billed by Google Play under Google's terms. Google handles payment, renewal where applicable, and refunds; we hold no payment details. If Google refuses a refund you believe you are owed, write to us and we will tell you what we can see and what we cannot.
4. The deal and the engine
Each board is dealt from a random seed drawn on your device; the seed is kept with the board so the same deal can be played again. The three seats the program plays see only their own cards, dummy once it is faced, the auction and the cards played, exactly as a person in that seat would. They imagine the unseen hands, solve those, and play what does best. The double-dummy post-mortem in Bridge Pro is computed on the real deal only after the board is over. We do not warrant that the program's bids or plays match any particular authority; where it differs from your club's card, tell us.
5. No gambling
The Software offers no wagering, no stake, no prize, and no currency of any kind. The doubling cube multiplies the points of the game being played and nothing else. Nothing you buy affects a position, a roll, or a result.
6. Conventions and systems
The program bids Standard American, with the conventions you switch on applied to all four seats. Systems added later may be part of Bridge Pro. The explanations shown for each call describe what the program means by it; they are not advice on how you should bid.
7. Advertising in the free edition
Advertisements in the free edition are selected and served by Google. We choose where an advertisement can appear and we do not choose which one you see. If you are shown something deceptive, illegal or plainly unsuitable, write to us with a screenshot: we cannot block that advertiser directly, but we report it and we can change the placement.
8. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Software on devices you control, for your own non-commercial use. You may not resell it, rent it, run it as a paid service, reverse engineer it except where law permits regardless of contract, or remove any notice from it. Using the Software to train a competing engine, or to operate a bot in another service, is outside this licence.
9. Availability
The Software is provided as it is. We may change it, or stop publishing it, at any time. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of defects. It runs entirely on your device, so a version already installed keeps working whatever we publish afterwards.
10. Disclaimer and liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Software is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. Section 4 is the exception: it is a warranty and we stand behind it.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Arcane Void LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or exemplary damages, or for loss of profits or data, arising from your use of the Software. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or ten United States dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations. Where that is so, the above applies only as far as that jurisdiction permits, and nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
11. Intellectual property
The Software, its engine, its artwork and its text are owned by Arcane Void LLC and protected by copyright and other law. These terms grant you a licence to use the Software and nothing more.
Some sound effects and avatar artwork are third-party works used under the Creative Commons CC0 1.0 dedication, and are credited on the support page.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States of America and of the state in which Arcane Void LLC is organised, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of that state have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
13. Changes
We may revise these terms. When we do, we will change the effective date above. Continuing to use the Software after a revision means you accept it.
